Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Production Operators for its Oriented Strand Board (OSB) facility in Alcolu, SC. The roles involve rotation through multiple departments, from log yard to finishing, with a starting wage of $19.50 per hour and 12-hour rotating shifts, including day, evening, weekend and holiday hours, plus overtime as needed.

Successful operators are self-motivated, show initiative, and use critical thinking to hit production and quality targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments preferred or completion of a manufacturing/industrial program.
• Ability to work in a team and use computers/devices.
• Willingness to rotate shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to achieve production and security goals.
• Clean equipment and work area for readiness and safety.
• Operate front-end loader, sweeper, and forklift.
• Learn new tasks including control room functions.
• Monitor system performance to meet targets.
• Follow health, safety, and PPE guidelines.
