Job summary

Vanderlande seeks a Controls Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for automated material handling systems through the North American Service Center. You will diagnose incidents, optimize PLC/LLC performance, and manage system reliability while traveling as needed.

The role requires strong PLC/LLC knowledge, industrial networking skills, and a willingness to travel up to 70% across North America, including extended assignments. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in controls technology and industrial automation environments.
Experience with LLC, industrial networking, and controls software used in automated logistics systems.
Excellent communication, ability to work independently and travel up to 70% across North America.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex incidents in automated material handling systems to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and optimize industrial networks including Profibus, ASI Bus, Profinet, and TCP/IP.
Analyze system log data to identify potential issues and support performance improvements.
Provide on-site support for troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and system upgrades while documenting activities.
