You will develop BAS applications, configure databases, integrate devices via BACnet/Modbus/LON, and collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to ensure successful commissioning and turnover.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on BAS programming experience (scripted or block-based).
• Background with Building Automation System integration tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop BAS applications using project schematics, standards, and design documentation.
• Write, revise, and implement sequences of operation.
• Build, configure, and upload BAS databases.
• Program systems using Script/Line or Function Block/Graphical methods.
• Integrate devices and sub-systems via BACnet, Modbus, LON, and similar protocols.
• Configure and work across various BAS control platforms.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, and internal stakeholders.
• VPN into customer sites for updates, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Set up alarms, trends, dashboards, and system monitoring tools.
• Assist with commissioning, equipment startup, and project turnover activities.
• Provide technical guidance to field technicians as required.

About the Opportunity:

A Tier-1 Technology and Integration firm is seeking an experienced Controls Specialist / BAS Programmer with project coordination skills to support enterprise-level Building Automation System (BAS) initiatives throughout the Houston metro. This hybrid role blends hands-on programming with light project oversight, offering a mix of technical work and team collaboration.

• Location: Houston, TX
• Status: Full-Time
