Role Overview

This position supports multiple projects, requiring transitions between various tasks. The role involves hands‑on fieldwork, design preparation, and interaction with internal teams. The Controls Specialist will contribute to project success from conceptual design through to startup support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and transition between multiple projects.
• Check cables and wiring in the field.
• Perform and assist in site walk‑downs.
• Prepare cost estimates for sub‑disciplines.
• Support system start‑up procedures.
• Prepare layouts and conceptual designs.
• Develop IO lists.
• Build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 0-5 years of experience in a related field is required.

Technical Skills

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in computer‑based platforms and possess solid electrical knowledge. Required skills include configuration and graphic development in one or more of the following platforms: Ovation, Foxboro, ABB, or PLC. Experience with field support, control narrative and markup, and cost estimating is also necessary.
