Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking CLEARED AV Engineers to survey, plan, design, and test multi‑classification AV solutions for government customers in Chantilly, VA. You will generate custom system designs, including DSP layouts, and provide onsite support during installation and configuration phases.

The role requires 3+ years of AV experience (5+ preferred), field installation expertise, and willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of related AV work experience; 5+ years preferred for senior role.
• Experience with AV field installation is required.
• Travel to various job sites is required.
• First shift with possible after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Survey, plan, develop, design, configure, and test multi-classification AV solutions.
• Generate custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and configurations.
• Lead or attend customer stakeholder meetings to document system requirements.
• Research, identify, and recommend technology options.
• Draft system engineering docs: signal flows, line diagrams, BOMs, rack elevations.
• Support onsite installation and lead system configuration phases.
• Assist in developing end-user training materials and operations & maintenance plans.
• Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations.

AV Engineer

Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking CLEARED AV Engineers to fill two openings. The roles involve surveying, planning, developing, designing, configuring, and testing multi‑classification AV solutions for government customers. This position requires generating custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and systems configuration, and providing onsite support.

Key Responsibilities

• Survey, plan, develop, design, configure, and test multi‑classification AV solutions.
• Generate custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and systems configuration.
• Lead or attend customer stakeholder meetings to collect and document or validate system requirements.
• Research, identify, and recommend technology options.
• Draft system engineering documentation, including signal flows, line diagrams, bills of materials, and rack elevations.
• Support onsite installation of AV systems and lead system configuration phases.
• Support the development of end‑user training materials and operations & maintenance plans.
• Perform in‑house testing and on‑site commissioning at client locations.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of related work experience is required, with 5+ years preferred for a higher‑level role. Experience with AV systems field installation is necessary.

Additional Requirements

This position is for the first shift but may require occasional compensated, ad hoc support after hours. Travel to various job sites is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• An Associate degree or higher.
• AVIXA CTS certification.
• Experience with DSP platforms such as Biamp or QSC.
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, and Thinklogical systems.
