Job Summary

Software Application Specialist II supports TDControls on the Shared Services team that collaborates with all TDControls locations. This role involves building the Tridium Workstation backbone using the Niagara framework, integrating third-party controller interfaces, and field-level controller programs from Siemens and Distech products. Responsibilities include creating graphics for building automation and access control systems, programming major equipment to meet project sequences, and working closely with partners to resolve issues and communicate application constraints effectively.

Essential Duties
  • Participate in turnover meetings to review project specifications and contracts.
  • Design building automation and access control workstations based on specifications and controls submittals.
  • Coordinate with managers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Build Niagara Station backbone and communication structures as per controls submittals.
  • Load and configure standard programming into field controllers and integrate devices with BAS front end.
  • Perform system integrations with third-party devices into Tridium, Siemens, or Distech control systems.
  • Create control programming for equipment such as AHUs and chillers using GFX, ABT Site, PPCL, and Niagara software.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in IT or Computer Systems or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years' HVAC controls experience in a field technician role.
  • 2+ years' BAS controls programming experience.
  • Tridium Advanced Niagara Certification.
  • Proficiency in Niagara wiresheet logic programming.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols like LON, Modbus, BACnet.
  • Experience with Siemens or Distech controllers.
  • COMPTIA A+ and Net+ Certifications.
  • Strong engineering process knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Independent design skills and customer focus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
