Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lenexa, Kansas is seeking an experienced service and design professional to manage the service, repair, design, configuration and operation of complete HVAC building control systems and related low‑voltage subsystems. You will ensure quality, timeliness and efficiency, and develop software and commissioning plans to keep systems running as intended.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8+ years of experience in HVAC or related field.
Knowledge of HVAC industry and related construction/service.
Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
Experience integrating low-voltage subsystems via LON, BACnet, etc.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences; advanced drafting software skills.

Responsibilities

Designs, configures and services building control systems; creates flow diagrams, BOMs, network layouts, schedules and electrical schematics.
Develops and tests software for system operation.
Creates drawings and equipment schedules for submittals, services and installation.
Orders and tracks delivery of materials for assigned jobs.
Assists in loading and commissioning of controllers; validates system functionality with subcontractors.
Provides field changes for as-built drawings and software.
