Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site Controls Project Manager to lead complex installations for diverse customers in the SSNA region. You will plan, execute and close projects, coordinating hardware design, software programming, installation, testing, and commissioning while safeguarding safety and profitability.

Responsibilities include managing costs, billings, and cash flow, pursuing change orders, and communicating with clients throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications

• Technical associate's degree plus 2 years field experience or 4 years related field experience.
• Experience with Access Control, Fire, Video, and/or systems design and commissioning.
• Appropriate licensing, certifications, and hands-on experience.
• Ability to perform work independently; strong PC skills; knowledge of project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete projects on-site with customers.
• Oversee hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Manage project financials: costs, billings, and collections.
• Ensure safety, ethics, and compliance with standards.
• Pursue change orders and maintain client communications throughout the project.
• Provide coaching to technicians and subcontractors; ensure timely documentation.
• Prepare warranties, as-built docs, and monthly revenue/variance forecasts.
• Maintain profitable cash flow through best practices and continuous improvement.
