Job summary

GROB Systems, Inc. in Bluffton, OH, is seeking a Controls Hardware Engineer to design electrical schematics, coordinate with software and safety teams, and support machine builds.

An initial training phase with a Senior Designer will last up to two years to learn how to develop machine and equipment solutions. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of electrical design, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

The primary job function of the Controls Hardware Engineer will be to work in several aspects of industrial controls engineering. This will involve electrical schematic design, coordinate designs and implementation with Software and Functional Safety teams and supporting the designs throughout the machine build process. An initial training phase of working with a Senior Designer for up to two years will occur to learn how to develop machine and equipment solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand and perform all controls hardware engineering tasks
• Support Senior Designers and Project Engineers
• Generate electrical schematics and supporting files
• Evaluation of customer specifications and their impact to GROB's products
• Apply international (IEC, ISO) and national (NFPA) standards

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of electrical design
• Computer programming experience (C#, Visual Basic) is a plus
• Knowledge of industrial wiring practices is a plus
• Knowledge of EPLAN design software is a plus
