Job summary

We are seeking a Controls Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and control systems, including VFDs and motor controls,

Qualifications

• Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial electrical and control systems.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and testing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and control systems.
• Work with VFDs, soft starters, and motor controls.
• Diagnose issues using meters and testing equipment and read schematics.
• Complete service reports and communicate with customers.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures.

Job Details

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and control systems.
• Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft starters, contactors, motor controls, and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and controls issues using meters and testing equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Perform equipment commissioning, preventive maintenance, and emergency service work.
• Troubleshoot facility systems and power monitoring equipment.
• Build, wire, test, and repair custom electrical control panels and enclosures.
• Identify equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions.
• Work alongside engineering and project teams on installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Complete service reports documenting work performed and recommendations.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment and service needs.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain tools and testing equipment.
