Job summary

Jobot in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced electrical controls engineer to lead design and hands-on development of control systems for industrial equipment, with high autonomy and executive leadership exposure.

You will program PLCs (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Studio 5000), develop HMI/SCADA, interpret P&IDs, and travel about 25% to support commissioning and FAT/SAT across sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in electrical controls, automation, industrial controls, or related engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs / ControlLogix / Studio 5000.
• Experience with FactoryTalk.
• Experience designing electrical control systems and/or control panels.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, I/O, and instrumentation.
• Experience with industrial automation and process equipment.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and develop controls based on process requirements.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, and troubleshooting.
• Industrial/manufacturing/process environment experience preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop control narratives and sequence‑of‑operation documentation.
• Support electrical component selection and control‑system architecture.
• Review P&IDs and translate process requirements into automated control strategies.
• Participate in FAT/SAT activities and equipment testing.
