Jobot is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer in Allentown, PA, to lead conveyor, robotics, and integration projects from design through commissioning and customer support.

Qualifications

  • Strong Allen Bradley PLC programming experience.

  • Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems.
  • Fieldbus communication technologies experience.
  • Experience commissioning industrial automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel 25%–40%.

Job Details

As a Controls Engineer, you will support conveyor, robotic, and integration projects from concept and design through installation, commissioning, startup, and customer support.

This role requires a strong combination of controls engineering, PLC programming, electrical design, system integration, and customer-facing communication skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to travel 25% - 40%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Siemens, Omron, or Beckhoff PLC platforms
  • FactoryTalk Optix experience
  • Motion control and servo programming experience
  • Robotics programming experience with FANUC, Universal Robots (UR), or Omron
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Electric P8
  • C++ or Java programming experience
  • Electrical License
  • Bilingual communication skills
