Job summary

Dematic Corp is seeking a Controls Engineering Manager to lead a team of project execution engineers within our Project Engineering Organization. The successful candidate will drive day-to-day project execution, grow team capabilities, and coordinate across engineering disciplines to align on project objectives.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of engineering management experience
• 8+ years in material handling or logistics automation
• Ability to work remotely/in office and on customer sites
• CAD design software such as AutoCAD is a plus
• PLCs including Allen-Bradley/Rockwell knowledge is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and cost-effective solution skills
• Excellent leadership and teamwork abilities
• Travel approximately 15–25% to customer or Dematic locations

Responsibilities

• Own project performance and outcomes of direct engineering team
• Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team and project success
• Ensure targets for quality, on-time delivery, and cost are met
• Anticipate issues and address proactively
• Provide regular project performance reporting to management and peers
• Maintain accurate monthly project forecasting
• Manage project budgets and indirect department budgets
• Participate in pre-sale technical reviews with Sales and Solution Development
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives within the team
