Dematic Corp. in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Controls Engineer in our Technical Support group. You will diagnose and isolate issues in semi‑complex systems, using schematics and PLC logic to support customers remotely and at client sites.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years in a customer‑support related role. Experience with Allen Bradley Logix PLCs is required; Siemens and Modicon PLCs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in a related field providing customer support.
• Experience with Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls platforms.
• Siemens and Modicon PLC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in support of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
• Provides support in semi-complex material specification, schematic troubleshooting and follow-up.
• Assists in productivity improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Provides troubleshooting expertise to customers.
• Travel between 20-30% to customer locations (weekends/overtime possible).
