Job summary

Stonhard is seeking a Controls Engineer to oversee documenting and evaluating existing electrical controls and manufacturing processes. You will specify new electrical controls and manufacturing processes while suggesting improvements to operations and investigating new technologies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 5–10 years in a manufacturing setting, and proven experience with project and plant engineering, electrical troubleshooting, controls installation,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar technical degree.
  • 5–10 years minimum related experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with project and plant engineering, electrical troubleshooting, controls installation, and PLC programming.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking for data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong written, communication and presentation skills, especially in group or high-level settings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical and controls standards for all new equipment purchases.
  • Direct Maintenance Techs to troubleshoot plant equipment and improve reliability.
  • Extract procedural knowledge from employees and document for future operations.
  • Promote a safe working environment with electrical safety focus.
