Job summary

Bosch Rexroth is seeking a Controls Engineer to design complete automation packages, including schematics, PLC, motion and programming. The role covers generating electrical drawings, PLC/Motion control programming, and supporting standard offerings with detailed BOMs and cost estimates.

The position requires hands-on electrical experience, strong PLC knowledge across major platforms, and the ability to read drawings, collaborate with sales and engineering, and travel as needed to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical experience preferred.
• Experience programming PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and perform calculations.
• Strong teamwork and communication with design and sales teams.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, UL508 and standard industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop programming for PLCs, HMIs, and servo drives.
• Set functionality and communication with customer control systems (EtherCat, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
• Review customer specs and develop automation package BOM and estimates.
• Create and modify drawings to support standard offerings and customer apps.
• Travel to customer/vendor locations as needed.
