Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a driven Controls Engineer to lead hardware and software design for process automation projects. You will design, program PLC/SCADA applications, configure historian databases, tune control loops, and support startup and commissioning.

The role requires traveling to client sites and working in a regulated environment. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 2–5 years of experience with Rockwell and diverse PLC platforms, plus strong communication skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in controls engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Rockwell/ControlLogix and PLC platforms.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and understanding process controls.
• Ignition Perspective experience is a plus.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI packages such as Proficy and Wonderware.

Responsibilities

• Provide application/control systems design and development for systems of varying complexity.
• Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements.
• Modify program/system logic involving multiple systems and subsystems.
• Develop proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, PCs.
• Interact with customers to define scope, plans and deliverables.
• Travel to local sites as needed (at least 50%).
• Support startup, commissioning, and ongoing system qualifications.
