Job summary
Carlex Glass America, LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer to support and program plant automation equipment at the Ligonier facility in Indiana. You will design PLC logic, program robots, and help optimize line performance and quality.
Travel to sister plants may be required to complete core tasks. Ideal candidates have a BSEE or BSME and 3–5 years of PLC/robot experience, with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with RS Net Worx, RS View Studio, and Panel Builder.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level electrical engineering degree required for automation work.
- 3–5 years of PLC and robotics programming experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of industrial controls and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and program plant automation equipment to support production.
- Design and modify PLC controls and robot programs for lines.
- Travel to sister plants as needed for core tasks.
- Plan maintenance activities and assist with new technology trials.
- Train plant techs and engineers on controls-related skills.
