Job summary

TI Fluid Systems in Ligonier, Indiana, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support daily plant operations. You will interact with production, maintenance and engineering to keep equipment running and lead automation projects such as panel building, PLC/HMI integration and robot programming.

This role requires a BS/AS in Electrical Engineering, proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI, data collection, and robotic systems (Fanuc, Kawasaki, Cognex/Keyence vision).

Qualifications

• AS/BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; not an entry-level position.
• Ability to program PLCs, HMI and data collection systems; Allen Bradley standard.
• Ability to design, maintain and troubleshoot automated control systems and components; PLCs, VFDs, hydraulics/pneumatics, temperature, vision systems.
• Ability to program robots, primarily Fanuc, Fanuc Collaborative robots and Kawasaki.
• Read, develop, analyze and interpret technical procedures, schematics and prints.
• Written and verbal communication skills for training plant personnel in operation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain production equipment.
• Train maintenance and production personnel on equipment operations.
• Consult with plant quality and engineering staff on quality issues and corrective actions.
• Lead and direct contractors and maintenance personnel in installation, maintenance and enhancement of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Support design reviews of controls, safety systems and automation.
• Comply with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements and support continual improvement.
