Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering in Reston, VA, seeks a Controls Engineer responsible for design and integration of control systems across manufacturing and data center projects. You will develop hardware/software, create AutoCAD schematics, and lead design reviews while guiding junior engineers.

The role requires strong PLC and instrumentation knowledge, plus periodic site startup involvement and travel up to half of the year.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in control systems and PLCs.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement control systems to meet process requirements.
• Develop schematics and wiring diagrams; create panel layouts in AutoCAD.
• Define the Sequence of Operation and lead design reviews with customers.
