Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer to design electrical control systems for thermal and process equipment, ensuring safety standards, deadlines, and cost targets are met.

Under the direction of the Controls Engineering Manager, you will create detailed designs, support QA testing, and collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing and Field Service to drive continuous improvement and successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret project/customer specifications, codes, standards, and drawings.
• Understanding of industrial controls and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and timely decision-making across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems, including ladder logic and panel layouts.
• Support QA and assist testing of equipment prior to buy-offs.
• Act as technical resource for Sales, Applications, Manufacturing, QA, Field Service.
• Participate on cross-functional teams to improve processes and methods.
• Document training procedures and develop progress metrics.
• Provide operation sequences and manuals.
• Maintain electrical estimating workbook.
• Compile inputs and write engineering design standards with lower level engineers.
• Assist in determining resource requirements to meet budgets.
