Job summary

HI-LEX America Inc. seeks a qualified engineer to design and implement electrical control systems for the Battle Creek facility.

The role involves creating schematics, updating PLC programs, and supporting manufacturing and maintenance teams to improve production efficiency. The ideal candidate has a 4-year degree in electrical engineering or related field and at least 3 years of control design experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology or equivalent field.
• Equivalent work experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical controls for the plant, including schematics and programming.
• Design and update PLC programs for all plant equipment.
• Provide support to manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians.
• Consult with all departments on electrical topics and liaise with outside vendors.
• Investigate new electronic/ electrical technologies for potential applications.
