Samsung SDI America Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer to maintain and support the manufacturing line. You will respond to breakdowns, modify PLC ladder logic, and work with process engineers, operators, and quality staff to improve production methods.

Role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 3+ years PLC experience, MES exposure, and knowledge of electrical codes and MIOSHA requirements; strong Excel skills and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 3+ years of experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Experience with MES technologies and automated data collection.
• Knowledge of US and International Electrical Code.
• Understanding MIOSHA safety requirements for controls.
• Ability to work across Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of pneumatic hardware and circuits.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with assembly, fastening, conveyance, and test equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• Assist Manufacturing and Production Teams in the following areas: monitor equipment and respond to breakdowns; perform preventive maintenance; troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test modifications per manuals and work instructions.
• Collect and track PM data; maintain PM records in the tracking system.
• Support Engineering and Quality with downtime analysis and machine improvements.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production methods and processes.
