Accounting Search has a Controls Engineer opening near Oneida, NY, offering a competitive salary of 100K–130K. You will design and implement machine control systems, program PLCs, and lead equipment commissioning across multiple sites with ~30% travel.

Strong AutoCAD experience and NEC/machine safety knowledge are required. Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree (AAS/BS) with 5+ years of related experience and are eligible to work in the US without restriction.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Engineering; 5+ years experience or equivalent.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NEC and machine safety standards.
• US work eligibility without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD and component sizing.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic; support Siemens.
• Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of equipment across facilities (≈30% travel).
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting with maintenance teams.
• Diagnose control issues and modify PLC logic to support production improvements.
