Henderson Group is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a World Class Manufacturer near the Oneida, NY area. You will design, program, and troubleshoot control systems while supporting multiple facilities and traveling about 30% of the time.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree and 5+ years of hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, AutoCAD, and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Engineering required; 5+ years of hands-on controls experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop machine control systems with AutoCAD, including VFDs, motors, and protection.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, ladder logic, and Siemens controls.
• Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new equipment across local facilities (≈30% travel).
• Provide hands-on electrical/controls troubleshooting for maintenance teams.
• Modify PLC logic to support production and operational improvements.
