ManpowerGroup in Hammond, IN is seeking a Controls Engineer to join the Engineering department, supporting plant automation and control initiatives with hands-on troubleshooting and a strong safety focus.

The role requires 1–3 years in controls and automation, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA systems. You will update drawings, plan maintenance, and assist capital projects.

Qualificações

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
1–3 years in the controls & automation field.
Working knowledge of PLC systems including programming and troubleshooting.
Minimum 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

Troubleshoot plant control systems including PLCs, VFDs, I/O hardware, sensors, HMIs, and networks.
Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations and internal standards.
Recommend improvements and optimizations for automation systems to boost safety, quality, productivity.
Update control system drawings and documentation and ensure copies are stored in the company network.
Plan weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance activities and assist capital project planning for Hammond plant.
