Job summary

Granco Clark is seeking a Controls Engineer in Michigan (Belding) to design and test electrical, hydraulic, and combustion systems for industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot field issues and work closely with customers, engineering, and service teams, with extensive travel to sites.

The role emphasizes practical problem-solving, collaboration, and bringing concepts through to implementation, ensuring equipment operates safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools; Allen-Bradley experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Designs electrical systems for industrial equipment.
• Designs control programming for industrial equipment.
• Designs hydraulic systems for industrial equipment.
• Designs combustion systems for industrial equipment.
• Instructs and oversees subordinate engineering staff during projects.
• Tests equipment and determines methods for testing products.
• Procures component parts and ensures conformance to specs.
• Travels to customer sites to support service and testing.
