Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. in Rumford, ME seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to drive development and implementation of drylin linear actuators, motors and controllers for automation solutions.

You will provide technical support to customers and igus sales teams in North America, integrate electrical, mechanical and software components, collaborate with international teams, develop training programs, and help create demonstrations and marketing materials while staying current with market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Robotics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with motors (stepper, servo, BLDC) and driver/controllers.
• Strong presentation skills; ability to teach customers using our products.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for igus actuators, motors and controllers to customers and sales teams in North America.
• Integrate electrical, mechanical and software components into cohesive automation solutions.
• Collaborate with local and international teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Develop and maintain training programs; provide training aligned with the Training and Development Department.
• Assist Product Manager in creating machines, demos and marketing materials.
• Monitor market and competition; keep material and product knowledge up to date.
