At Aegis, our purpose is clear: to create raving fans through expert innovation in intralogistics. Our team combines innovative thinking with deep industry expertise to deliver solutions for projects of all sizes, throughputs, and complexities.
Aegis Sortation is a leader in the intralogistics technology and innovation space. Our expertise spans E-Commerce, Freight and Parcel, and Warehouse and Distribution. As a prime integrator, we have a team capable of conceptualizing and laying out complex systems, and completing detailed design engineering, procurement, and field installation across various project platforms. Our commitment to integrating excellence throughout the project life cycle sets us apart, delivering automation solutions to businesses ranging from local service providers to international logistics giants.
We are building a Lifecycle Services support team and are looking for a Controls Engineer who thrives on keeping systems running rather than building them from scratch. This is not a project-delivery role — it is a customer-support and reliability role. You will be a frontline technical expert on our 24/7 support desk, starting as part of a two-person team and growing with the business.
Most of your work will be remote: taking customer calls, diagnosing faults, and tuning controls from your desk to get a line back up fast. When an issue can't be solved remotely, you'll mobilize quickly — sometimes on the next flight — to resolve it on site. Between calls, you'll help customers stay ahead of problems through equipment health checks, preventive maintenance, training, and small, well-controlled code changes.
This role is ideal for a field service, maintenance, or controls professional who enjoys troubleshooting under pressure, working directly with customers, and owning uptime for a growing installed base of automated equipment.
This role operates primarily in a remote/home‑office environment using standard office and networking equipment. When traveling to job sites, the environment is typically industrial; this role routinely uses appropriate PPE, electrical diagnostic and implementation tools, laptops, and networking equipment.
This position requires approximately 25–40% travel to domestic customer sites, often on short notice in response to escalations.
This job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position. All job requirements listed indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently. Employees may be required to perform any other job‑related duties as requested by their supervisor.
