Job summary

WCL Group is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer IV for on-site support in Salt Lake City, UT. The role centers on Siemens S7 PLC platforms within refinery-like environments, ensuring safe, compliant operations and system reliability.

You will maintain DCS/SIS/PLC systems, handle patching, alarms, and backups, and provide secondary support for Allen-Bradley PLCs. A strong on-site presence and 8–10 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in controls engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with Siemens S7 PLC systems in refinery/industrial environments.
• Experience supporting DCS/SIS/PLC environments in energy or chemical processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support DCS, SIS, and PLC systems with focus on Siemens S7 platforms.
• Assist with system health checks, patching, and backups; manage graphics and alarms.
• Support PLCs (Siemens S7 primary; Allen-Bradley secondary) and SIS systems; coordinate testing and validation.
• Provide on-call support to ensure reliability and rapid response to issues.
• Coordinate lifecycle activities and documentation per procedures.
