EPC STAFF Acquisition and Development, LLC is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer in Albuquerque, NM. The role covers PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, panel design, instrumentation specification, and commissioning support.

You will work with clients, PMs, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated control solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC/SCADA skills, hardware/software integration experience, and familiarity with Rockwell/AB, Siemens, and Schneider platforms.

Qualifications

• BSEE or similar required.
• Plcs, HMIs, SCADA, and field instrumentation experience.
• Ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams.
• Control system software platforms (Rockwell/AB, Siemens, Schneider) and relevant programming environments.
• Electrical schematics, Power Distribution, Control panels, P&IDs, and NEC Code knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop control system software, including PLC programming and SCADA configuration.
• Design and implement control system logic to meet process and equipment requirements.
• Create control system hardware designs and user interfaces.
• Support hardware engineering, enclosure layouts, and instrument callouts.
• Produce system schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD panels.
• Prepare project docs, status reports, and RFIs.
• Assist with factory/site acceptance testing and user training.

OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for controls engineering project requirements involving PLC programming,

As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Hardware, Software, and Field. The ideal Candidate will be tasked with PLC, HMI/ SCADA programming, control panel design, instrumentation specification, check-out support, and commissioning assistance. You will work closely with the clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated control solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop control system software, including DCS/ PLC programming and implementation, HMI design, and SCADA configuration.
• Design, develop, and implement control system logic software and hardware to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements.
• Develop control logic software and user interface applications.
• Support hardware engineering (systems integration, instrumentation callout, panel layout, construction)
• Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD software.
• Technical writing - project definition and requirements, status reporting, process control sequence of operations, RFIs
• Support factory/ site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training

REQUIRED/ HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• BSEE or similar
• PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation.

• Control system software platforms (e.g., Rockwell/ Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) and relevant programming environments.
