Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking an Engineer III – Controls in Latrobe, PA to design, develop and optimize control systems across multiple production lines. You will analyze data, implement improvements, and work with maintenance to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

The role includes leading projects from concept to commissioning, mentoring teammates, and coordinating with vendors and OEMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years working in the controls and automation industry.

Responsabilités

• Design and Development: Identify and understand the company’s needs related to control systems; analyze data to identify areas for improvement; implement solutions to enhance control system efficiency.
• Technical Support and Mentorship: Provide technical support to team members; work with maintenance to remedy breakdowns.
• System Configuration and Optimization: Configure, standardize, and optimize control systems for equipment and processes; define system requirements and participate in system configuration; act as a liaison between end-users and system developers/OEMs while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Project Management: Develop and execute projects from start to finish, ensuring successful implementation; supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems; manage project costs, schedules, and budgets; develop business cases where automation and control upgrades can improve throughput and costs for a given work center or process.
