Job summary

Enterprise Automation and Digital Systems Group, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Controls Engineer I to support the design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of automation and control systems in our Irvine, CA office. This entry-level role focuses on PLC/HMI programming, SCADA, industrial networking, and low-voltage panels, with travel to client sites as needed.

You will learn from experienced engineers through EA University onboarding and ongoing training to grow

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering required.
• Disciplines preferred: chemical, electrical, mechanical, controls, automation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PLC, HMI, and OIT programs.
• Support development, configuration, and implementation of SCADA systems.
• Design and implement IT/OT network infrastructure.
• Support low-voltage control panel design.
• Contribute to consulting, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, maintenance.
