Job summary

Enterprise Automation and Digital Systems Group, a Tetra Tech company, seeks experienced engineers for its Irvine, CA office to design, implement, and maintain mission‑critical industrial control systems. This is an in‑office role five days per week, with diverse projects across water, chemical, life sciences, and manufacturing sectors.

You will work from initial design through commissioning, applying controls, automation, networking, PLC/SCADA/HMI knowledge, and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional industry experience in engineering.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required.
• Chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering degree preferred.
• Controls engineering, process control, automation, or systems integration experience preferred.
• Experience with Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems Integration specifications (CSI MasterFormat).
• Experience designing/commissioning industrial networking, low‑voltage panels, SQL/database systems, virtualized environments, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate within EA's values and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Provide engineering services including consulting, design, implementation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Design, implement, and commission industrial control and automation systems.
• Support the design and implementation of networking, low‑voltage panels, SQL/database systems, virtualization, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
