Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Controls Colo Engineer to drive design, review submissions, and implement standards across AWS Colo Data Centers.

You will partner with internal teams and colocation vendors to improve capacity, availability, and efficiency. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in mission-critical engineering, commissioning, and project coordination, with a hands-on approach to field work and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
• 4+ years of commissioning experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience in commissioning
• 4+ years experience in project coordination with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead Colo data center controls design and standards implementation.
• Review submittals and ensure consistency with AWS data center standards.
• Identify risks in BMS/EPMS and automation drawings.
• Support construction, commissioning, and turnover for new Colo projects.
• Provide RCA and corrective actions for control equipment failures.
