Qualifications

  • 4+ years of strong PLC programming/troubleshooting across brands (ToyoPuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley).
  • 6+ years comprehensive knowledge of PLCs.
  • 4+ years comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and industrial controls.
  • 2-year technical degree or completion of trade school (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Travel up to 20% (including international travel).
  • Overtime up to 20% when required.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally; stand/walk/bend/kneel/crouch.
  • Manual dexterity for tools and machinery.
  • Proficiency with MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams.

Job description

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Controls Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, Kentucky. This is a 12-month contract. The pay range for this role is between $45.00 - $59.00/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions.
  • Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity of equipment.
  • Investigate to determine modification requirements. Implement modifications. Trial and adjust.
  • Lower cost and decrease project time by overseeing installation by vendor and facilitating kanban process.
  • Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments, as identified during online vehicle trials.
  • Install, set-up, and troubleshoot ToyoPuc and Allen-Bradley, etc. program controllers.
  • Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment.
  • Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge to local NAMC Maintenance and Production Members.
Qualifications
  • Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (ToyoPuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley) – 4+ years.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs – 6+ years.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and industrial controls – 4+ years.
  • 2-year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% at times (including international travel).
  • Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch on varying surfaces.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs.
  • Proficiency with MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams.
