Magnit Direct Source on behalf of Toyota is hiring a Controls Engineer for a 12-month contract in Georgetown, Kentucky. The role focuses on PLC programming, equipment installation, and process improvements.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, implementing modifications, training maintenance staff, and supporting NAMC Maintenance and Production teams. Travel up to 20% may be required, including international trips.

Qualifications

4+ years of PLC programming/troubleshooting (ToyoPuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley).
6+ years of PLC knowledge.
4+ years of electrical circuits and industrial controls.
2-year technical degree or completion of trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) or equivalent work experience.
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
Ability to travel up to 20% (including international travel).
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
Proficiency with MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams.

Responsibilities

Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, and conduct vendor buyoffs.
Install equipment, verify safety, quality, and productivity.
Investigate modifications; implement and trial adjustments.
Lower costs and shorten project time by overseeing vendor installation and kanban flow.
Improve quality and productivity by implementing adjustments from vehicle trials.
Install, set up, and troubleshoot ToyoPuc and Allen-Bradley controllers.
Provide training to Maintenance on newly implemented equipment.
Share SME knowledge with NAMC Maintenance and Production members.
