Job summary

Actalent in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, test, and commission building automation control systems for commercial projects. The role requires hands-on HVAC controls experience, energy management, and platform integration.

You will develop and support custom control systems for OEM projects, ensuring installations and testing meet specifications while collaborating across R&D, product, sales, and support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience with building automation, HVAC controls, and energy management desired.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control system architectures for applications.
• Program control logic and systems to meet customer requirements.
• Create control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and system drawings.
• Test control systems on benches and prototypes to identify issues.
• Collaborate with R&D, product development, sales, and customer support to deliver effective control solutions.
• Maintain engineering documentation and ensure on-time delivery.
