We are seeking an HVAC Controls Design Engineer to design automation projects in collaboration with customers and sales teams.

The role requires technical education and experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in an office-based setting with occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical education and relevant field experience.
• Preferred experience with Building Automation Systems and LON/BACnet protocols.
• Strong computer skills and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of HVAC and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Working with Sales and Account Managers to meet customer expectations.
• Communicating with building owners, contractors, and field support staff.
• Reviewing sales scopes and understanding mechanical drawings.
• Participating in turnover meetings to assess sales estimates and project layouts.
• Selecting cost-effective products and installation methods.
• Preparing design documents, including system layouts and electrical drawings.
• Providing technical support to installation teams.
• Designing network architecture for operator workstations and controllers.
• Developing HVAC equipment operation sequences.
• Managing the ordering of products and equipment.
• Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure proper system installation.
