Job summary

Gilbert in Edina, MN seeks a Controls Engineer to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for fully engineered documentation on building automation installations. You will survey systems, develop control documentation, and assist in commissioning and training efforts.

Minimum degree or HVAC cert, strong Office suite skills, and 5+ years of commercial HVAC/controls experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and/or a certificate in HVAC.
• Advanced computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to multitask and be self-motivated.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sense of responsibility and ownership for projects.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Survey building systems and equipment.
• Develop control systems documentation and sequences of operation.
• Layout Control System Network Diagrams and Points Lists.
• Utilize Visio to create schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare installation BOMs and equipment cut sheets.
• Develop commissioning reports and assist in system startup.
