Magna Seating is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to support engineering in standardizing controls systems, designing, implementing, and improving PLC-based automation. You will install, maintain, and upgrade equipment, ensure proper documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• University Degree or associate’s degree in Electronics from a minimum 2 year College or Technical school preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively more‑complex assembly/maintenance related experience.
• Electrical controls engineering background preferable with basic electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics knowledge.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Fanuc, RS Logix, and Ethernet controls systems.

Responsabilités

• Supports engineering in developing standards and specifications for controls systems and a complete purchase parts list.
• Provides technical support for controls systems during introduction of new equipment.
• Assembles and installs new equipment and supervises installation.
• Maintains documentation (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, panel layouts, PLC, operator interfaces, robot programs) throughout equipment life cycle.
• Plans updates and continuous improvement of existing controls systems including robotic programs and ladder logic.
