Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent.
• 5 years of related Controls Engineering manufacturing experience; automotive preferred.
• Experience using RS Logix 5, RS Logix 5000, ControlLogix and PanelView software.
• Ability to diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical system issues interfacing with electrical/electronic.
• Experience with electrical drawings and schematics.
• Willing to work off shifts and overtime as needed.
• Automotive industry experience and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and data handling in ControlLogix.
• Maintain PLC documentation and archives of programs and drawings.
• Maintain, repair and improve automated equipment to meet production goals.
• Support I/O devices, HMIs, sensors, relays, servo drives; assist pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Schedule backups of machine control and robotic programs; develop preventive maintenance.
• Apply electronics and instrumentation knowledge to diagnose malfunctions and restore operation.
• Identify process impacts from engineering and launch changes.
• Support 8D root-cause problem solving and comment on equipment control drawings.
• Contribute to equipment purchase specifications.
