Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to lead problem solving for tooling, equipment and conveyors at our United States facilities. You will coordinate resources to identify root causes, validate fixes, and implement improvements across automation systems.

The role requires experience with electrical schematics, AutoCAD, PLCs (Siemens/Allen‑Bradley), VFDs and robotics, and includes safety reviews, training, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Controls Engineering experience
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Familiar with automation and conveyors

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources to identify root causes and fixes
• Set up and maintain industrial bar code printers
• Review cycle times with plant monitoring software
• Program new installations of automation and robots
• Review risk assessments and equipment safety
• Train manufacturing personnel and plant electricians
