Job summary

OPmobility in Austin, TX seeks a Controls Engineer for 2nd shift to maintain and optimize automated production equipment. You will program Siemens PLCs, develop HMIs, and support robotic systems across a single-site manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds a controls engineering degree with 3–5+ years in manufacturing, strong PLC/HMI experience, and familiarity with MES and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering or related field.
3–5+ years in manufacturing or automotive environments.
Strong PLC programming and HMI system expertise.
Knowledge of MES and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Responsibilities

Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (Siemens), HMIs, and automation equipment.
Support robotic programming and ensure proper functionality of automated systems.
Troubleshoot safety, quality, and downtime issues.
Modify and optimize equipment to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to standardize processes.
Participate in new equipment installations and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
