Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists invites aspiring automation engineers to join a structured train-to-deploy program. You will begin with intensive onsite training in Seattle and then work on real-world automation projects configuring, testing, and commissioning conveyor control systems in fulfillment centers.

You will configure control applications from electrical drawings, test in simulation and on real hardware, and support commissioning and troubleshooting on live deployments alongside PLCs,

Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC experience with major brands (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, CODESYS, etc.).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and I/O lists.
• Basic programming knowledge (Structured Text, Python, C, Ladder Logic, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Configure control applications from electrical drawings and I/O lists.
• Test solutions in simulation and on real hardware.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting on live deployments.
• Work with PLCs, EtherCAT devices, sensors, motors, safety I/O, and Git-based workflows.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics
• Hands-on PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, CODESYS, B&R, Schneider, etc.)
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists
• Basic programming knowledge (Structured Text, Python, C, Ladder Logic, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work onsite in Seattle and travel/relocate for deployment projects

Nice to Have:

• Conveyor or material handling experience
• Structured Text programming
