Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking candidates for an early-career development programme in Alpharetta, GA. Participants will receive intensive onsite training and hands-on deployment experience configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning conveyor and material-handling systems.

You will learn to read schematics, convert drawings to configurations, test on real hardware (EtherCAT devices, sensors, motors, drives, safety I/O), and follow software practices like Git and Agile

Qualifications

Reading electrical schematics and I/O lists.
Ability to read control-area drawings and convert them into configurations.
Basic programming knowledge and hands-on problem solving.
Willingness to work onsite for training and deployments.

Responsibilities

Configure, test, troubleshoot, and commission conveyor systems.
Gain real-world experience on EtherCAT devices, sensors, motors, and safety I/O.
Follow software practices including Git, code reviews, and Agile delivery.
Travel and relocate as needed for deployments.

Job description

Join a structured early-career development programme that combines intensive onsite training with hands-on deployment experience. You'll learn how modern industrial automation platforms are built and gain real-world experience configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning conveyor and material-handling systems.

What You'll Learn

Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists
Converting control-area drawings into working configurations
Testing on real hardware, including EtherCAT devices, sensors, motors, drives, and safety I/O
Software engineering practices including Git, code reviews, and Agile delivery
Commissioning and troubleshooting in live operational environments

We're Looking For

EE, EET, or Mechatronics graduates (2022-2026) or early-career engineers
PLC exposure through coursework, internships, co-ops, or professional experience
Ability to read electrical schematics and understand control systems
Basic programming knowledge in any language
Curious, hands-on problem solvers who enjoy troubleshooting
Ability to work onsite in Seattle for training and travel or relocate for deployments (Atlanta first)
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
