Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is recruiting for an entry-level automation engineer to join a structured train-to-deploy program. You will receive intensive onsite training in Seattle and then apply skills configuring, testing, and commissioning conveyor control systems in fulfillment centers.

The role involves hands-on work with PLCs, electrical schematics, and Git-based workflows, plus travel/relocation for deployment projects. A degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics is preferred.

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics.
Hands-on PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, CODESYS, B&R, Schneider, etc.).
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists.
Basic programming knowledge (Structured Text, Python, C, Ladder Logic, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in Seattle and travel/relocate for deployment projects.

Responsibilities

Configure control applications from electrical drawings and I/O lists.
Test solutions in simulation and on real hardware.
Support commissioning and troubleshooting on live deployments.
Work with PLCs, EtherCAT devices, sensors, motors, safety I/O, and Git-based workflows.
