Controls Engineer - $125K + profit share bonus + relocation allowance.
An established global manufacturer is seeking a Controls Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation systems in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with approximately 5 years of experience to take ownership of impactful projects, working on custom machinery and high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and deployment of automation systems involving motors, actuators, sensors, servo presses, gauges, and SCADA systems.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs (Logix 5000, RS Linx), integrating robotics and vision systems where appropriate.
- Contribute to the development of electrical control panels and automation for custom machinery and test equipment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to improve productivity, quality, and reliability.
- Ensure systems are delivered with a focus on safety, efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in controls automation, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms (Logix 5000, RS Linx); experience with robotics or machine vision systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and data analysis platforms like PowerBI.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; a team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies is advantageous.
