Job summary

Case iZ in Evansville, IN is seeking a Controls Engineer to contribute across all project stages, including electrical design, Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming, system testing, and onboarding of compressed air control systems.

You will define equipment and parts, perform calculations, create documentation, and commission customized solutions onsite at customer facilities, while supporting ongoing product development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related job experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk ME/SE, Optix).
• Strong knowledge of control and electrical design for automated systems.
• Able to balance multiple projects and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
• Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team.
• Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems.
• Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements and motor controls.
• Create and finalize designs to meet project requirements.
• Define equipment and parts from external suppliers.
• Conduct cost and time estimation.
• Electrical and software design of customized solutions, including manufacturing automation and safety systems.
• Create customer documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Commission customized products and systems onsite and at customer facilities.

Position:

Case iZ's past success and a well-planned growth strategy have created a need to add to our engineering team. Controls Engineers are involved in all stages of control system projects. This includes Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming, electrical design engineering, system testing, and system commissioning. This includes realization and implementation of Compressed Air Control Systems as well as being involved in ongoing Product Development activities.

Control Engineer responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Requirements
