Job summary

Case iZ is seeking an HMI Engineer to develop and support HMI/SCADA systems, primarily using Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME/SE and Optix. The role involves interpreting client requirements, performing design calculations for electrical and control systems, and delivering comprehensive documentation.

Travel about 25% is required. The candidate should have strong Rockwell experience and be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related job experience
• Strong experience with HMI SCADA Server/Client architecture and the configuration of communication drivers, scripting functions, tag logging, and alarm management.
• Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming
• Strong knowledge of control and electrical system design in automated industrial designs.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide HMI and SCADA development focused on Rockwell FactoryTalk applications.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Resolve operational problems and minimize delays or cost increases.
• Interpret client requirements and address design parameters.
• Create, test, and finalize control system designs to meet project requirements.
• Create user manuals, diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Commission systems onsite at customer facilities.
• Provide pre-sales, design-in, and post-sales technical support.

Position: Case iZ past success and a well-planned growth strategy have created a need to add to our engineering team. We are looking for someone to focus on new HMI application development, working with Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME, SE, and Optix applications. Other HMI platforms are a plus. Product Development activities. Project Management experience is a plus. This job requires traveling approximately 25% of the time.

HMI Engineer responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Provide HMI and SCADA development. Focus on Rockwell's FactoryTalk applications. Experience with Rockwell Optix is a plus.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
• Responsible for project success whether project leader or as part of a project team.
• Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems.
• Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements and motor controls.
• Create, test, and finalize control system designs to meet project requirements
• Create customer documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Commission customized products and systems onsite and at customer facilities.
• Provide high-quality pre-sales, design-in, and post-sales technical support to the customer.
